I do not remember a time when I did not want to be an attorney. Instead of hearing the typical bedtime stories, my father, an attorney, would tell me his attorney war stories. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be in the courtroom. I was always known as the little girl with the big voice. I am pleased to now be able to use my voice to help fight for others.
Throughout law school I interned in a variety of different positions, from a personal injury defense firm, to assisting a criminal court judge, to the public defenders' office in New York City. However, it was not until I embarked on my first legal job as a personal injury plaintiff's attorney did I find my passion. I initially specialized in medical malpractice, representing plaintiffs who were seriously injured through the negligence of their physicians and/or treating hospitals. This was an extremely rewarding experience, which has fueled my desire to continue representing injured people.
Since that time, I have expanded my practice to include firefighter law, motor vehicle, labor law and premises litigation.
Beyond being a practicing attorney, I am an active member of New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
I am tremendously honored to now be a part of the Barasch McGarry Salzman & Penson family. I look forward to representing the hard working heroes of the New York City Fire Department.
