In this article entitled "Free Legal Representation to Secure "3/4" Pension to all WTC Injured Firefighters Whom We Represent", Barasch McGarry makes a committement to helping those in need even if it means working for free: "...should any of our WTC injured clients be wrongfully denied their disability pension, Barasch McGarry, as part of our overall representation of them, will institute an Article 78 proceeding on their behalf in the Supreme Court -- and we will prosecute any and all appeals pro bono -- with no legal fee involved (such fees routinely run from $10,000 to $25,000)."

    On a non-legal matter, Barasch McGarry is lobbying to have the government or a charity such as the "9/11 Fund" finance a comprehensive health study of our firefighters' ongoing health problems. We have met with leading neurologists and pulmonologists at Mt. Sinai Medical Center New York Hospital and Oxford University. We will keep you appraised of all developments in this area as well.

     Barasch & McGarry is proud to have sponsored photographer Laura Yanes for her selfless efforts. Since 9/11, Laura has been visiting firehouses all over the City to take pictures of each and every member who wants a photograph of themselves in uniform.
